– My name’s Tyler
Bennett, I am the co-owner of CrossFit SRC located
in Milton, Florida. CrossFit SRC has been
operating now since 2014, and about three years ago we
took on selling supplements. Retail was a new endeavor for us it was something that we
hadn’t really dabbled in and initially we started
selling some of the big brand supplements you see
at GNC and places like that. Immediately we ran into issues where we found that we weren’t receiving a lot of the back-end support, and so we started searching
for a more personal brand that matched our brand as well. When we came across Driven
Nutrition, we contacted them and within hours I was on the
phone with owner Jason Rule. This was a huge bonus for us because Jason was able to provide
us with sales techniques and tips to help us become successful in selling their product. As of now, three years later supplement sales in retail
is our third largest source of revenue, right behind
our CrossFit Kids program and our general membership and PT. It’s allowed us to purchase new equipment, it’s given us another vertical
of income to host events and things like that. It’s also a great way
and an opportunity for rewards for challenges,
giveaways and things like that. So one of our favorite things about Driven is one, the customer service you receive. They’ve also grown as a company and have refined some of their processes to definitely make them better, and they’re very good at
serving their affiliates. One thing you’re gonna notice right away is when you place an order now, if there’s something you forgot you’re gonna get a personal
text message or email saying, “Hey, we just wanna make
sure everything’s correct, “if there’s anything you forgot,
make sure you let us know “we’ll throw it in the box for you.” They’re also gonna do
something pretty cool that helps you out as an owner to get your members excited
about that new shipment… Is since day one, this is something that even myself I was like, you
know I wonder if this is a practice that they can continue, is after you’ve placed an order, when that order is prepared to ship, you get an actual picture in the warehouse of all the supplements stacked up, you can drop that on your members page or any of your social accounts and let people know, “Hey,
this stuff is en route “to the facility.” It’s really really cool. When it comes to the
product, we love the product we love the branding and
how it matches, you know, what we do, which we
are a CrossFit affiliate and you’re gonna notice right away the names of the products, you know Post Wod, Pre Wod, and
the supplements match that kind of CrossFit mentality of, they’re not gonna have
artificial coloring, and things like that. And it’s just a great product all around. Our biggest sellers are
gonna be their whey protein, a new product that they have now Berries and Greens, we can’t
keep it on the shelves, the PreWOD, and the DYSRUPT. Now they carry a vast
variety of whey proteins and different shakes and things like that, and they all will sell well and it all comes down to what fits you. Jason is gonna be – Jason and his team have always been, you know,
very active on social media, they have a private closed group where they post a ton of
marketing material for you. They’re basically giving
you the tools you need. Now when it comes down
to margins and revenue, this is the most important
thing for us was that when we’re selling those
other, bigger brands, we weren’t – we really
didn’t have the margins that we see with Driven Nutrition. Most of the products
we’re making a good margin on and we’re also noticing
that we’re able to sell it at a lower price than what it sold for on like Amazon, or even on
the Driven Nutrition site and still make a really good margin. They’re offering things now
that you’re not gonna see at a lot of other supplement stores, which is a huge bonus and it
can definitely set you apart in that market if you’re
trying to sell supplements. That’s all I’ve really
gotta say about Driven, we’ve been super happy with them, like I said we’ll continue
to sell their products, Jason’s a great guy, if
