Through a crowdfunding campaign,
the Food for Life Foundation will sponsor clinical trials to test
a perfect amino acid balanced-plant protein which can be used to combat the muscle wasting syndrome associated with HIV & AIDS. This Perfect Protein is produced
from the descendants of ancient maizes which are the results of the work of Dr. Norman Borlaug. These Perfect Proteins are as nutritious as milk protein according the WHO—FAO (the UN’s
World Health Organization and Food and Agricultural Organization) and meets or exceeds the food pattern
of a complete whole food across all age groups. The PER (Protein Efficiency Ratio) of this Perfect Proteins
is 2.5 or higher (per the USDA). These Perfect Proteins are
produced from descendants of maizes and grains handed down
from the ancient Mayan civilizations. Scientists believe these ancient maizes
had health benefits that led to the tremendous strength
and energy of the Mayans which allowed them to build
their vast civilizations. A new process is able to purify
these proteins without ruining them and the Food For Life Foundation
believes these Perfect Proteins have the proper amino acids which can be used
to combat the “wasting syndrome” also known as Cachexia which is a common feature in HIV & AIDS
and many types of cancers leading to poor quality of life and the poor response to medications and to chemotherapy. This same condition is also responsible for Sarcopenia the gradual loss of muscle mass
