Explaining Biology the cool way | Protein Synthesis Rap

Transcription and translation, it’s a success
But without the RNA’s it would be a mess (In the cell nucleus)
It starts with the DNA code Where the code’s processed
For the RNA creation Of a new protein population Then it is transcription
Where the mRNA starts its encryption Just got to copy out the code
We don’t need to get it out Match the C’s to the G’s, and the U’s
to the A’s Which makes an RNA molecule, hooray! The mRNA leaves
To the cytoplasm it goes To start the translation process, you know Transcription and translation, it’s a success
But without the RNA’s it would be a mess The mRNA attaches to the ribosome (start codon)
To translate the message so we can go home The tRNA’s here, which means
The end of the process is near Each one has an amino acid attached
With a 3 letter code latched (anticodon complementary to mRNA) The 3-letters are a wiz
It tells us where the acid is The tRNA matches up
For the ribosome to slide down plane To make a polypeptide chain Once the chain is complete (stop codon)
It creates a primary structure protein, which is neat
Thanks for listening to my biology beat I really hope that it was heat Transcription and translation, it’s a success
But without the RNA’s it would be a mess
