Biohacking and COVID19 – Tim Gray and Shawn Wells on Instagram Live

Biohacking and COVID19 – Tim Gray and Shawn Wells on Instagram Live

so we’re both in my same house in Dallas
tim has been traveling away from London and he was with me in Austin and now
he’s here in Dallas staying at my house and we thought it’d be good to do a live
and talk about the craziness that’s going on so Tim from your perspective
being a non national and visiting what has this been like you know what you’re
hearing globally and then what you’re experiencing here in the US hmm great
question those mirrors behind you by the way shown are great and so in all
honesty the only panic or anything I see has been online and with the media who
are actually earning money from every click so the more noise they get and the
more panic they create the more clicks they get the more money they earn while
I’m not belittling what’s going on at all and I’m really not I do think that
when someone gets paid for creating more drama we should really look at that so
in the real world I think the only thing I’ve seen is when we went to a
restaurant a couple of days ago that was empty and the waitress saying that it
been you know very very quiet and yeah very very quiet and she wasn’t earning
any money she didn’t know how she’s gonna pay the bills and stuff and I
think really in the real world like if and I this is just a big if and I’m not
belittling what’s going on at all because it’s important every single life
counts every single life counts but if we were to remove the label coronavirus
right now and let’s just say we label it as flew and added those numbers together
and the symptoms and the people that we know they’ve been ill from it we
wouldn’t have noticed much difference and yet it’s put the world upside down
put the world upside down understatement where we’re looking at having
cancellations maybes ordered you know all kinds of things happening I mean
what are your thoughts like you may not be able to leave well I’m here on the
holiday to go to a few conferences and when this all started kicking off even
more I was like well I’m not going to panic I’m not going to change anything
because generally when people panic they make irrational decisions I’m just going
to continue as normal and see how it how it goes before making decisions and it’s
interesting because I watch the news report yesterday about the airports and
they said you know foreign nationals foreign nationals for instance the UK or
whatever don’t rush to get home because you’re done dating the airports and
having to stand for seven hours in sirs reacting in having a knee-jerk reaction
you know you just stop and take your time then actually there’d be less
people around the airports would be less congested there’s less chance of
reinfection like you know strategic opposed to reactive often helps but
being flexible is also key so that’s why I’m not reacting why I’m here right and
this is a good time to take stock of your life to want to do meditation to do
gratitude Journal aims that listen to music to connect to families all those
kinds of things right and reduce stress yeah totally actually I mean it’s I
think as as we’re saying within the health optimization summit team because
that’s obviously my main my main thing is preventative is the new cure and I
think the people that are panicking most and a lot of people say Tim how can you
be so calm you know you might get ill yes I might but if you’re looking on the
side here the supplements and this is the same with you Sean oh okay with the
things I do to prevent health issues because I’ve been know I’ve been very
very poorly over the last 10 years I’ve had to figure a lot of this stuff out I
only care about what works I don’t care about the shiny toys yeah sure they’re
fun but I only care about what works before giving me health so I can enjoy
my life that’s it and there’s no biases
I’m not supported by any brands the conference that I run just brings in the
best people from all of these areas the summit doesn’t make money and I’m just
trying to spread awareness to health so people that are most worried other
people are eating Krispy Kremes or cracking no nuts or Doritos in 15
different flavors or eating rubbish processed milk opposed to good quality
products or foods even clean whole foods that are organic people that are taking
vitamin C when they start feeling like they’ve got a cold coming on or even
going for fitmin civs making sure that the vitamin D levels are optimal or that
they’re getting out and getting grounded and and getting into nature and all
these things like and people in my family and friends network are generally
pretty relaxed about this they understand the importance of it and they
are quarantine self quarantine themselves or should I say locking
themselves away just to not spread things but at the same time they’re more
relaxed than anyone else and the people that are panicking and the ones that are
paranoid that they’re gonna die from it or spread it to someone that’s gonna die
but if people are really optimizing their health or biohacking or really
focusing their life on being their healthy himself they’re healthier self
like the guys that pay ufx know they’re they’re the same you know they think
they might have even like being around people with it maybe I don’t know but
the thing is because they’re constantly working on optimizing their health and
taking the right things and listen to the right advice from all the experts
around the world they’re much more relaxed than than public up fitting for
that same cutting great exactly so what are the
supplements you’re taking right now vitamin C lipid zonal that’s my favorite
of all vitamin D well obviously because that’s a really good antioxidant it’s
very very good for immune systems and most people don’t get enough of it
generally when I’m flying I take a thousand milligrams every two hours
sometimes every hour depending on how many coughs and splutters there are and
that’s general whenever I’m flying vitamin D now because of dr. Dominic
Mitch wits who’s my friend the biological dentist who were just on the
call with before this um part of his healing protocol for when he does
ceramic implants or any dental work is to make sure you have optimized vitamin
D now that is for bone healing and but also it’s a hormone vitamin D actually
isn’t a bitumen it’s a hormone and it makes so many other processes in the
body work and the immune system operate correctly then it’s so important for you
so I take vitamin D as well what else am I taking I’m taking Cloyd your silver
which actually I use as the mouth rinse every day and that’s because I’ve
recently have an oral microbiome test done and it shows that I need to
rebalance my microbiome and I also do micro bone mouth rinse let’s just have a
look at my supplement sink I’ve actually got some zinc which I don’t take all the
time because that can displace copper which then can give you red blood cells
issues and always compete for copper so I take that and actually I’ve just got a
generic fairly generic brand that I picked up in the States because every
other brand was gone because it just said zinc but what I do is I break this
down and I use it in my mouth as a kind of a mouth rinse which is great what
else have I got I’ve got obviously optimizing my vitamin
D sorry my vitamin b12 methylation so b12 methylfolate methyl cobalamin
trimethylglycine because as you know viruses really do use up with b12
resources and so by boosting those levels then obviously you’re gonna
you’re gonna protect yourself from viruses more often
I’m also soaring everyday at the moment and I’m very lucky that you’ve got one
got one down so I’m jumping in there twice a day at the moment and hydrating
properly and that means with totems for or kington hydration which are really
good obviously for minerals for your electrical system especially if you’re
you’re stressed with all this anxiety from all the news and the fear-mongering
that’s going on I actually put a whole list out on my Instagram wool a couple
of days ago the supplements I’m taking at the moment one of which which I
forgot to mention is actually something called BHT and I heard Dave Asprey talk
about this on a podcast you know I mean six months ago and he said that it can
help cure herpes in no time so of course I started researching it and reading as
much as I could about it this has been for many many months now apparently what
it does is viruses certain viruses have a lipid envelope let’s just say it’s
like like a cell membrane in my mind what happens is with DHT actually breaks
down the lipid envelope which means that your immune system can then actually tak
attack the virus and that’s the same with another supplement I’m taking right
now I’m just trying to remember the name of it gone from my mind will come to me
in a minute so anyway so yes a BHT is actually really effective and I
recommend you googling it and having a look into this and it’s actually a food
preservative and which they use in certain packaging but from what I’ve
tested so far it seems to be seems to be working pretty good and then the final
thing was and I’m just looking with supplements again
yeah it’ll say Adams for freshness yeah yeah yeah so NEC which I take every
morning to err than every morning on an empty stomach
and I still use my own glutathione the posted just supplementing with
glutathione I do take glutathione when I’m flying as
well just to give myself an extra boost but if your cells are full you know
cells are full you don’t need more so I take two in the morning on an empty
stomach and two before bed and that’s very very good for natural detox and
helping the body work as it should do for the whole liver set of processes and
methylation in glutathione and then I take oregano oil from one my favorite
shop in the world and Oregon oil which is very antibacterial antifungal
antiviral but if you take it for too long it’s like basically bleaching your
gut so you don’t want to use it too much and it caused you GI issues so that’s I
mean it sounds a lot but the preventative is the new smart and I
think the world will now understand this more weiying biohackers do what they do
to prevent being ill or promote longevity or so that they’re less
worried about getting you rain so what are you doing to de-stress or reduce
fear when it’s so easy to go online or watch the news and get hyped up right
now did you know I’m seeing my iPad and on my phone all day at the moment and
you know we prioritize what’s important to us like and yesterday we’re talking
about content of what content to do and things like that was like well actually
the most important thing is to focus on the content that’s important to people
right now opposed to talking about our who cares about you know something
that’s not at the moment that might be important in years time is focused on
what’s important now so I’m sitting reading and understanding
this from all angles and I’m completely open
I’m of growth mindset I really enjoy learning from everyone listening to
people’s opinions and one thing that I don’t like in in this space in general
and I’ve seen it from several several biohackers in the last week is they’re
panicking opposed to going let’s remove the emotion let’s not use hyperbolic
language and create more panic let’s think logically
let’s not prove what’s going to happen in the future
because as you know and famous psychological quote my country where it
comes from is you know most of what we worry about doesn’t ever happen it’s
actually the worrying that creates more of the issue itself now while I’m again
not belittling what’s going on with this coronavirus I do think that looking at
the data of what has happened opposed to what could happen is far more important
which is what makes biohacking so important because everything is
quantified and you use the data so why wouldn’t we remove the emotion and think
logically in data statistics the best we can now where the issue is is that the
quality of the data because if the data is rubbish then you’re not going to give
it meaning and unfortunately data can be
manipulated to suit whoever wants whatever so I mean I look I look at I
always go by the rule Occam’s razor and usually the simplest the simplest thing
is often the most effective but sometimes you need to they’ll drill down
and I think you’ve got a quote that you shared with me earlier on that you wrote
which i think is really timely right now so I don’t know if you want to read that
out to everyone that’s everyone’s essentially it’s about I don’t know can
you actually pull it up on here I’m getting there like some feedback coming
through like I don’t know for some reason that’s why it’s hard for me to
talk on line yes ever look well where are we here we go so I read the bullet
but I read bullet points from it should I and just say so for people under 19 it
seems not to touch them in any notable way those under 9 nothing at all those
of healthy age with good health it’s like a bad cold or flu light or should
that be flu-like now flu-like like a light version of
good feeling exhausted for a few days phlegm for a week tight chest for a
couple of weeks the only people that it’s worse for and possibly more deadly
than flu is for those with respiratory issues already including the elderly
autoimmune sufferers etc for the last group obviously they should take care
and for those of us that could get it and expose them we should take care but
many of people already have it and actually I would agree that I feel like
a lot of people have already got it but they didn’t necessarily label it as that
because it wasn’t necessarily a strong thing I mean an end of January I heard a
funny chest feeling I had a little bit of phlegm and I had three days of I was
absolutely wiped out but I still carried on and I just thought okay I’m just
gonna pack it like normal and I didn’t really think about it and it wasn’t
until I was talking with a couple of people the other day about it that they
said oh I had the same at the end of January as well so I’m wondering if it’s
already amongst us all but now we’re labeling it and testing and the more we
test the more numbers show so yes so most of us may already have it around
70% of the country potentially but again that’s just a guesstimation from from
what is reading here but you know we will get crowd immunity at some point so
this coronavirus is less severe in most ways to h1n1 influenza except the way it
sticks to the respiratory tract and these aren’t my words by the way these
are collecting thoughts from you and from your colleagues and things so so
breathe deep breathe moist air we will be okay and one thing that I strongly
agree with is that panic and thinking emotionally and says logically actually
lowers immunity because it’s the stress response and we’re not in rest and
digest or rest and repair we’re in fight-or-flight ready to run
away from something so our immune system my digestive system all these things
aren’t working as they should do because we’re shitting ourselves about something
we don’t know about now if we put that to one side and think for a second
imagine we didn’t watch the news imagine we didn’t read Google and
imagine we didn’t have anything digitally telling us what to think and
we only knew from what we had spoken to friends that had been ill would we still
feel the same because I know one person that has it right now in London and
she’s been in bed for three days and she said the flu was worse for me so you
know it sure it can like another thing I said to someone earlier on was that like
the amount of people that have died so far there are considerably more people
that have died in accidents every day there’s actually one point three five
million people a year that die in car accidents and I know that the virus
isn’t up to full speed yet but the point is is does that mean that because and we
will probably have to live with this virus for quite you know for going now
and we go well lock yourselves at home you know on going for how long what do
we say to loved ones that are over sixty don’t drive because you’ve got a higher
risk of driving no we just we drive for them we look after them in some way and
at the moment that is us locking ourselves away so that we don’t spread
it so really chill out you know meditate take these week or two weeks to sit down
and read books and switch off and really really focus on yourself and your energy
in your healing because your immune system would be better for it and you
would have read loads of books cool books about health and you would be able
to help those around you which is what we’re trying to do by sharing what we’ve
learnt from all of our colleagues all of our friends all of our reading all of
our books over the last 20 years nearly of combined work to distill it into a
face Instagram life right now that’s beautiful so how would you change your
your diet your routine your daily living right now to compensate for this I
wouldn’t change anything because don’t need to that’s the point I mean
health optimization is to optimize your health and optimizes continuous improve
all doesn’t mean you in a bad place it means you’re always striving for better
or perfection so most of the things I do at the moment I do when I need to or
ongoing such as I would not take zinc all the time
because as I said earlier on it does compete for copper which then can
obviously have different issues I don’t take vitamin D 10 to 20,000 I you a day
around the clock but if I do it’s because I’ve got some healing to do or
you know I feel like my levels are low and I do get my intested my vitamin D
tested every four to six weeks so I know where I sit with that I also obviously
do intercellular testing as you know and I look at what I’ve got on a cellular
level deficiency wise and and supplement based on that so really I do what I need
I put all the building blocks in place to make sure that I am as optimal as I
can be for health and sure I do cheat with the odd thing with eating badly
like I had a burger the other day and yeah I did eat the bun and put you know
the most part 95 90 to 95 percent of the time I’m eating super clean and healthy
organic veg grass-fed meat and I put my health before everything else that’s why
I’m not shitting myself but if I do get ill I understand that this is life I
understand that this is part of the journey and I’ve dealt with pretty
horrendous things over the last 10 years so it’s one of those things and when you
look at the statistics this is something that Martin
Tobias over upgrade Labs bulletproof upgrade labs taught me and I’ve
discussed this and talked about this an awful lot it’s about thinking in bets
and that book that I keep on talking about thinking abit really takes you
away from the emotion in decisions to thinking statistically so for instance
if you are playing poker and this is what Martin told me once upon a time and
it’s stuck with me is if you’re playing poker and you’ve got a hand of cards
that have 80 percent chance of winning you play that
hand you keep on playing that chip hands because 800 times out of a thousand you
will win 20 times or 200 times you won’t and that’s okay because if you keep on
playing the odds you will win you will come up on top I do that with my health
I go actually what do I need to do to minimize the risk to increase my chances
of winning if something happens I’m ready for that right because I have done
everything in my power to make sure my immune system or health is optimized
opposed to drinking three or four nights a week or opposed to just doing all
these crazy things you know I dedicated my life to it which is why I’ve built
the movement in in the UK with my team yeah that’s perfect I love that and and
speaking of Statistics if you do have your one cheat meal if you won’t even
call it that I don’t like to call it that because it implies it’s bad but if
you have your your one meal that may not be super healthy not of 20 meals
statistically that doesn’t really add up too much just like people that eat like
crap or 20 meals and have one healthy meal and statistically it’s not going to
add up to much so I like the idea you know that keeps you healthy if that
keeps you on tracks at a really good diet so occasionally have something then
it’s okay mmm you know you don’t have to be perfect
100% of the time and it’s not all or nothing it’s it’s about the long game is
what you’re saying and it’s about staying on track the majority of the
time right yeah I think yeah you’re you’re I think a lot of biohackers are
all in or nothing like they will sauna every single day and never take a break
they will be down the gym stressing their adrenals every single day they
will be taking 50 different supplements every single day
it’s all in or nothing they have tunnel vision for it it makes them extreme and
I’m I’ve learned from this myself opposed to relaxing and doing well for
them it’s either binary is either on or off
I either do it or I don’t it’s in my eyeline or it’s not
I’ve learned to obviously trim back and not be completely all in an obsessive
because that actually has puts you in fight-or-flight mode which means that
you’re stressed which means that you’re not in rest and digest which means that
your immunity isn’t as good so ironically by doing too much you’re not
doing enough so over optimizing is uh nocturnal so so I think it’s about if
you think about a list of 15 different things to have the best immune ticking
off as many as you can and sticking to those the best you can but understanding
your human and letting going a little bit is okay opposed to getting stressed
when you do so one of the things just to make this clear one of the things that
we’re all hearing about in the news is how to avoid Coronas but we want to make
it clear that there’s ways to boost your immune system and chances are you
probably are going to get corona or the flu or the cold or something so why not
find ways to boost your immune system right and that goes back to taking the
vitamin C’s to having colostrum or zinc or glutathione or an acetylcysteine a
lysine and some of these kinds of things doing some occasional fasting eating
whole quality foods getting your sleep in getting great hydration these kinds
of things right boosting your immune system yeah oh great and like jen has
just said I mean smiles and laughter is some of the best medicine they are so is
also natural sunlight so is grounding so is proper hydration with the right
minerals so is eating eating well so is hugging and even if that’s digital
hugging at the moment and you know all of these things contribute like look at
what it would have been like to our ancestors that’s what we should be like
100% exactly and I feel like right now we’re all addicted to this negative news
and the panic and the fear and then we’re watching movies if we’re watching
a movie like contagion or these kinds of things these pandemic
take movies I think right now is the time that we should be watching the
romantic comedy or the comedy or you know the funny show and and just in
connecting with our family reading a good book relaxing laughing like Jenna
just said and reducing some of this panic that really would only to your
point only exist now when we have omnipresent news omnipresent internet
omnipresent social media that it’s just building building building in a way that
like wouldn’t have been possible ten years ago right yeah it is yeah yeah I
mean usually we’d have a newspaper that would update us once a day exactly so
now it’s really interesting because I read the book by Ryan holiday the trust
me I’m lying yes and something or other of media manipulator now one thing I
want to share I’m not I don’t Lea going to like controversial stuff or you know
conspiracies but one thing that his book did say which was amazing was that once
upon a time newspapers had to bring out a newspaper once a day and they were
tasked with having the absolute best content every day that hooked people in
otherwise people wouldn’t buy their newspaper okay now they have 24 hours
round-the-clock every single day of not having the best content but having the
one that’s most clicked on to draw traffic because they sell ad space on
their website now if they don’t get controversial topics they don’t get
clicks if they don’t get clicks they don’t make money anymore they used to
make money from selling newspapers so therefore the more and more hype that
they create the more and more money they make and the reporters don’t necessarily
know this but this is how the newspaper world is now set and I understand
everyone needs to make a living so it can be used for good it can you use for
bad and they’re gonna keep on riding on this trend until something breaks the
cycle so I really think that this is what we would
cussing about before wasn’t it Shawn that we want to be sharing our
positivity not like being oblivious or ignorant it’s about sharing this is what
we know this is what you can do to support yourself and thinking in the
odds and the chances you know it’s like when you buy a lottery ticket you don’t
go yes I’m gonna win I’m gonna win you think I’m probably not gonna win but
I’m gonna be in it to win it well when it comes to this virus and dying from
the virus you’re going yes I’m gonna win or should I say lose I’m gonna get it
well hang on a minute you’re flipping it you’re flipping it to the negative a
postie going actually I’m gonna think in the same way
knowing I’m probably not going to but I’m going to do everything I can to win
so if that’s buying 5 or 10 tickets you’ve got 5 or 10 times the chances
well if you have five or six different supplements to boost your immune system
you’re gonna be significantly better off and yet the emotions catch us and we all
start panicking and shouting about it more and sharing incorrect press a post
you just going what are the statistics saying let’s sit back and chill and see
where it goes what do you think one year from now we’ll be saying about this
whole situation when everything settles down and we’ve moved on and we look back
and of course we’ll probably remember the coronavirus for decades and remember
where we were and what was going on what do you think one year from now we’ll
we’ll be saying I don’t know in all honesty I’d like to think that we look
at the data and we learn from it but there’s so many biases out there is very
difficult to say I would say that we would look at the total amount of deaths
from it and compare it to flu and even though people saying it’s not the flu
it’s not the flu it’s not the flu well the label is different and sure it’s a
different virus but every year we don’t go it’s different it’s different it’s
different and yeah it comes back every year and it’s slightly different every
year I don’t know I would like to think that the world learns from this
panicking and it’s a bit of a wake-up call for social media but
even when I share out in the Facebook group for Bayaka London or on my
Instagram I’m still getting a lot of pushback from trying to say look here’s
an objective view of it like I’m not I’m on the fence I just want to learn and I
want people’s opinions so I can get as much data to form my own opinion but I’m
still getting pushed back even from friends or people in the group that you
know avid followers of mine and they’re very emotional about it speaking in very
emotional language and pushing back so I really don’t know how this is going to
be in a year in terms of learnings because we’ve had this before we have
had this before it was not quite such a media scare before but the numbers were
quite similar I would like to think that we learned from it I really would I do
think I’m the government’s the government’s would be more geared up now
because this is good data for them to optimize from to know what is the best
and worst approach going forward so I think the government’s would definitely
learn but you know if the toilet roll thing is anything to go by someone
probably created that and said oh my god we’re gonna use the toilet a lot let’s
go and buy all the toilet roll and then it spread out to someone else or someone
else or someone else and someone else and now it’s even in Dallas the shelves
are empty of toilet roll come on guys like you know will we learn I hope so
it’s crazy times but don’t you think that you’re talking about how the press
revolves around scaremongering as this person just said and clickbait isn’t it
the same with people on social media like the bigger accounts on social media
don’t they survive on clickbait aren’t they promoting a lot of this kind of
stuff don’t they win when they are you know kind of putting out alarmist
content but the human they’re not doing it for money okay there might be an
indirect money game there at some point you know or their ego having more
followers but ultimately they’re human and they panic the same as everyone else
you know it’s just like the reaction if someone throws a tennis ball at you
you’re gonna grab it automatically automatic recipient response same with
emotional panicking or when someone says that
a virus going around your immediate reaction is to think about you about
catching the bull you know we’re all human I think when when there’s a direct
financial incentive to share this then it’s different I mean I share I try to
be objective with the content I share out and say what I do not telling people
what to do so that people can see what I do and I would like to think I’m fairly
well researched and there’s no scare mongering there’s no nothing and I try
to keep a smile and joking fun around it because it can become quite depressing
and even someone that’s quite quantified such as myself it can be quite daunting
to think about what’s going on right now and that is only because of why I’ve
read the media oh why do you think this is so much different than the flu and
how we are reacting to a given that’s a flu as much greater numbers it’s the
unknown because it’s been Lea labelled as the unknown and I know that my friend
from London who is in bed at the moment is listening or watching seen a pop up I
think well she said that the flu it’s not the worst flu she’s had and I think
if people know it’s the same as every year but just a little bit different
there’s no panic when people are told is this new killer bug and it’s different
and it’s more spreadable people panic because it’s the unknown but it funnily
enough I’ve spoken to several practitioners and each one of them said
their patients or clients that have got it are more chilled than they would
expect it’s because they know the unknown they they know what the rest of
us that haven’t got it know and so that’s the panicking uncertainty and I
think that when we do reach saturation point people will know what it is and
relax a bit so this is an example I think I discussed with you the other day
Sean it was like imagine for a second that there was this new virus called
herpes right we’d never heard of it and they said by having sexual contact
or kissing or or sex it can give you warts it can
cause immune issues it can cause cancers human contact would be pretty scarce
requite sometime right but we’re used to it it’s part of society it is a pretty
much saturation point it’s been passed around I think I read a statistic that
60 or 70 percent of people have HPV in some form and it’s part of normal
testing for girls especially that’s far more scarier to me than a new version of
the flu or whatever if we heard about it we didn’t know but we do know so for me
that’s a critical point and that’s my justification for being a little bit
more chilled as well as optimizing my health of these supplements – ice lab
Essex cryo by the way I just want to say that I agree when you hear two hundred
and fifty thousand deaths these statistics scares but doesn’t 1.3
5 million car accidents a year scare you even more it’s all it cut it it’s a
great point about the unknown and I do think you’re you’re dead-on about why
there’s so much beautiful so given everything that’s going on and there’s
so much noise between social media and the news
who’s do you listen to who do we listen to with 600 million sources of experts
well everyone’s an expert all of a sudden I mean I shared something out
yesterday and said I’d love your opinions on this post please someone
said this is an uneducated you’re an uneducated and not an epidemiologist or
whatever you know like I know I was asking for people’s opinions it’s just
crazy what I I listen to the data and
obviously you have to trust the data and it’s very difficult at the moment
because it’s growing more and more every day there is I think the ultimate death figure is the ultimate telling one but
each country is different like the death rate is significantly higher in some
countries not necessarily because of the amount of people that have got it but
because of how the system is overloaded in terms of hospitals so say yeah it or
it could be because of the age group in that country or the area there for
instance look at Italy if one of the villages had an average age of 50 plus
the statistics are going to be higher because their immune systems or isn’t so
good you know whereas if it hit a village of children you know it would be
almost zero so it’s about working out for your demographic more and where I
listen to is hmm I’m reading everything I can within reason and forming my own
assumptions by looking at the data like a biohacker word you know if I want to
know my blood glucose response I track it I look at the data I can’t tell what
it’s gonna do in the future I have if I guess I’m just gonna drive myself mad I
track my sleep and I look at data which is in the past and when I’m looking at
this thing like the virus I’m looking at what’s happened in the past you know
that’s the best we can do so form your own opinions from everything I say you
say everyone else discuss it because we’re not gonna know for sure until this
thing has passed further but where is there where is there quality data that
someone could look at like what’s a better source than I’m gonna hunt than
some other source all right I don’t know of any proper
sources at moment is is going so quickly it’s going so quickly there’s no one
really truly centralized research place I think there was death stats or
something or other I looked at the other day but I questioned whether or not
that’s got good data going into it you know I mean I think even if you do look
at one site and then compare it to five other sites with the data you don’t know
if it’s all come from one site in the first place
so you know it might be incorrect at the first source and again Ryan holidays
book trust me I’m lying goes into that as well actually talks about how these
things you know spread out so yeah it’s very very difficult right
now but I think the death the death stats per country you know is probably
the most reliable thing would you would you trust something like CDC or w-h-o
kind of SAP’s or yeah yeah I mean not this okay there’s some of the most
recognized ones definitely and I wouldn’t think that they would cover
anything up or anything like that so I don’t I don’t question that based
without what they display or what they show you know there’s a lot of people
popping up with really fancy graphs and showing you scatter graphs and
temperatures of the countries around the world to minimize risk and things like
that I don’t think that’s done by the general bodies but that’s the type of
data I like looking at because then you know for instance you’re in a hot
country and I would say usually Dallas would be hot out there but it’s cloudy
you know getting into a hot country making sure you’re isolated making sure
you’re doing all these things that we’ve discussed already would be good but the
data I mean it’s it’s coming together you know from what I read earlier on
that China is obviously had its peak and it’s quite nning that down but I don’t
know how much of a lockdown they’re still on and also bearing in mind they
are a lot more what’s the word compliant with their government on on a on an
individual basis than most other countries so you know when they’re told
to stay and they stay in whereas I think in Italy they didn’t for quite some time
what are you speaking of staying in what do you think about people that are
literally scared to step outside hmm depends on their health status because
somebody had someone I mean if they if they have had a illness and they’ve had
you know pneumonia or have immune issues or they’ve got cancer or any one of
these things I would say stay in anyway for the meantime just to protect
yourself I mean the odds of you dying from it
I mean it’s odds this statistics I mean it’s working out the best you can I
think in England is point zero two percent chance of dying if you’re under
60 and you know you’re healthy so you know
I mean I’m thinking about the odds here and I think I’ve got a lot more chance
of dying in a plane crash or a car accident you know I don’t think you
should be worried about going out if you’re a general healthy person that
eats well that supplements that looks after their health and that bearing in
mind in our circles most of us do you know some of us can be quite obsessive
about it well I mean not sorry not even just going out in terms of restaurants
and Walmart movie theatres and all that I’m just talking about literally leaving
your home and going to the mailbox or just spending a moment out in the
sunshine well common sense should be more common as I say stepping outside
getting some Sun getting your shoes off getting in the grass there are science
behind grounding and I talk about it a lot for instance when you get your shoes
off and you stand in the grass or standing in the sea you are connecting
with earth and while that sounds whoo-whoo you are getting free electrons
from the earth which scavenges free radicals which reduces inflammation in
the body which promotes healing which means that you’re stronger and you heal
better so staying inside on carpet or plastic flooring or whatever and not
connecting with the earth is actually happening hampering your immune system
so going out and getting grounding is one thing going out and get natural
sunlight it’s even better than taking vitamin D obviously so why wouldn’t you
if you’re nearer sunlight yeah as you say Jenna sunlight is grounding is it’s
super important and I’m grounded eighty percent of the day I have grounding
straps on my shoes on my bare foot feverish shoes I have an earthing bed
sheet and pillowcase I have a wrist strap from when I’m traveling and I try
to be grounded 80 percent of the day and sunlight is obviously very very very
important because if you put a plan under a plastic tarpaulin for this is
something from dr. Jack cruises where it won’t live well we are the same as
humans and yet it’s not as so immediate as a plan it’s not a binary thing so get
plenty of sunlight get it on your skin get a good tan you know be be careful
about it but make sure you’re grounded at the same time we are human
battery you know we get positive photons from the Sun which helps charge us up we
get negative electrons or free electrons from the earth which we are a bio
circuit board in between the two so it charges this up while reducing we’re
basically reducing all the free radicals everything like that but if you’re not
going outside and getting the two most important things how are you ever gonna
be right that’s so good I actually just got the the Garmin
Phoenix which is similar to like the aura and BIOS rapids in those devices
and it has a body battery feature I use this HRV tempered a body being battery
hmm yeah yeah I mean that there’s a book called the body electric i think by
jerry so name goes to my mind but we are electrical reaches which is why things
like electrolytes help us have more energy and stops our adrenals for being
so stressed we are electrical creatures regardless
of what well everyone knows this or should I say insist all the various
doctors and and practitioners know that we’re electrical creatures and yet we
don’t necessarily optimize it and other thing is one of those things sunlight is
the other one of those things having food with you know we eat foods Sun rich
so we’re essentially collecting food that has collected Sun we can get it
from the Sun or we can get it from food but we do need both for nutrients and
whatnot and I think um yeah when you’re in hot countries you eat less you don’t
need to eat as much because you’re getting electricity or energy from the
Sun to charge your body up well what’s uh what’s a closing thought that you can
give people as far as something positive to end on regarding Co vid 19 in the
state of the world right now two things one get the right supplements
in and I’ve listed out what I take personally on my Instagram feed I think
it was yesterday or the day before to is if we keep on sharing and sharing and
sharing the same emotional stressful things
it’s never gonna continue and it will wind down and wind down and wind down
and wind down or we can cut it then go let’s just share about where we’re going
in terms of positivity and what we’re gonna do to fix this not going over and
over and over and over and over and over otherwise it’s never gonna change and
we’re gonna be stuck in this loop stuck at home for a long time and it’s gonna
be very depressing I mean like it’s very hard to keep your mind out of all the
downside of all of this but the plus side is we’re in one place we’ve got all
the resources all the connectivity that we need we’ve got some amazing content
that we can read and study and be better from we have some downtime I mean as
Ryan holiday in another book says the obstacle is the way it’s basically you
know turn disadvantage to it your advantage see what you great you can get
from it and that’s exactly exactly where I’m focusing on I love that we’ll end on
there thanks so much Tim for being on and love everyone and we’re here to help
this whole week I’ll be doing immune health and Cove it 19 but definitely
looking at things from that positive angle you’re talking about Tim’s got
incredible content as well so we’re here to support you and thanks everyone for
tuning in take care guys
